I don't make time to document life. So, in an attempt to better hash out the inner-workings of my ever-so-overactive brain, I begin. If I'm going to manage my sanity, I have to do this for me. And if anyone finds access to these words along the way, I'm happy to share these experiences with you.
So here's the scoop: Lately, I've felt relatively void. And I'm sure that's normal when you get bogged down by three jobs, the final weeks of your junior year in college, and in the midst of wedding planning, but this void feeling has overstayed its welcome since last fall. So I've spent some time personally reflecting on what it is and how to a-void it. <--See what I did there?
Here's what I learned, in the most humble way I know how to phrase it: I care about people so much. In a way that might be unhealthy. I am spending every waking moment pleasing, caring for, spending time with, and talking to people that I love. And that is never a bad thing. But, somewhere along the way, I forgot to take time for myself. To spend time alone. So that's, in a very broad sense, the purpose of Salt Lake Pretty, to remind me to enjoy my life again, step by step. Increasing my confidence by touching the peoples lives I connect with through projects that help me develop myself.
So I developed the list below. I've only checked off one thing so far, and I'll likely add to it over time. But it's time to get out of my comfort zone and document the things I learn along the way. If you want to join me, I'm not a huge fan of doing things alone. Hit me up!
